Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 29, 2026

JamShare ("we", "us", "our") is operated by JamShare, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email support@jamshare.io.

JamShare is a cross-platform music-link converter available as a web app and native iOS and Android apps.

1. Information We Collect

Music links and place links you share: When you paste or share a song, album, playlist, or map link, the service receives that link and metadata from the source (track title, artist, album art, place name and address) to generate matching links on other platforms.

Device and app information: Mobile apps send a randomly generated device identifier (UUID), platform (iOS/Android), OS version, and app version for routing and support. This identifier is not tied to your real-world identity.

Account information (web only, optional): Sign-in providers (Google, Apple, or Microsoft) return your name, email address, and user identifier. The service stores email and user identifier for recognition and subscription linking. Passwords are not received.

Subscription information: Payment processors collect payment details; the service only receives a customer identifier and subscription status (active, cancelled, etc.).

Technical information: Servers automatically log IP address, user agent, and request timestamps for operations, abuse prevention, and debugging.

Analytics: Google Analytics tracks aggregate, anonymous usage patterns.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Subscriptions

How subscriptions work: JamShare offers auto-renewable subscriptions on the web (via Stripe) and mobile apps (via Apple App Store and Google Play). Web and mobile subscriptions are independent.

Web (jamshare.app):

Mobile (iOS, Android): Pricing displays inside the app at purchase time. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

How to cancel:

Unused free trial portions are forfeited when starting a paid subscription.

What payment providers share:

RevenueCat serves as a subscription orchestration layer for mobile apps, receiving opaque identifiers and exposing status to JamShare.

4. Third-Party Services

Data flows to these third parties as needed to operate the service:

5. Data Retention

Share records and link metadata are retained so previously shared links continue working. Account and subscription records are kept as long as the account exists plus a reasonable period afterward for tax, accounting, and legal compliance. Server access logs are typically retained for 30 days.

6. Your Rights

Depending on location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@jamshare.io. The service will respond within the time required by applicable law.

You can sign out of the web app or delete the mobile app anytime. To delete your account and associated data, email support@jamshare.io with your sign-in email address.

7. Children

JamShare is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). The service does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact support@jamshare.io for deletion.

8. Security

We use TLS encryption in transit and standard industry safeguards at rest. No transmission or storage method is completely secure; users assume their own risk.

9. Changes to This Policy

The policy may be updated periodically. The "Last updated" date reflects recent changes. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
